A Tour and Study Session of the Institute of Freshwater Biology Was Held by the Ueda City Council's Club on December 21
On the afternoon of Tuesday, December 21, 2021, the Ueda City Council’s Club held a tour and study session of the Institute of Freshwater Biology. Almost all members of the Ueda City Council attended. The tour focused on the outdoor facilities, after which Director Hakoyama Hiroshi gave an explanation of the research conducted at the Institute of Freshwater Biology of Nagano University and its future applications, followed by an active question and answer session. During the study session, Director Hakoyama explained the diverse research activities that each member of the Institute is engaged in, taking into account the natural challenges of the region. He also explained education through research, which is the essence of science education, and high school-university cooperation, which is aimed at local high school students and others.
