The Ueda Left Bank Regional Council Visits the Institute of Freshwater Biology
On Thursday, August 4, 2022, 25 members of the Ueda Left Bank Regional Council visited the Institute of Freshwater Biology and were introduced to the Institute by Director Hiroshi Hakoyama and Assistant Professor Sakie Kodama. The Regional Council, an affiliated institution of the city, is a council that expresses opinions to the city and makes proposals to solve local problems. The council was reorganized in April of this year, and the Jonan, Shiota, and Kawanishi Regional Council became the Ueda City Left Bank Regional Council. The committee members had high expectations for the Institute and questions and opinions about their concerns about the environment and biology of the Chikuma River.
