Professor Hakoyama Hiroshi gave a lecture at the academic symposium "The Future of Unadon" held at the University of Tokyo!
On Saturday, July 1, 2023, from 13:00 to 17:00, the East Asian Eel Society hosted a public symposium entitled “The Future of Unadon 10: 10 Years Since the Japanese Eel was Listed as an Endangered Species: Past and Future” at the University of Tokyo Yayoi Auditorium Ichijo Hall. Professor Hiroshi Hakoyama of the Nagano University Institute of Freshwater Biology gave a lecture entitled “Assessing the Extinction Risk of the Japanese Eel and International Cooperation for Resource Management”. The symposium was attended by nearly 100 people, and various speakers from the Fisheries Agency and the private sector gave lectures on a variety of topics related to efforts to manage and conserve Japan’s eel resources.
