Associate Professor Kodama's video of cricket behavior has been posted on YouTube!
The Japanese Society of Ethology, a society that studies animal behavioral ecology, has a project to turn excellent submitted papers selected in the journal into YouTube videos. Associate Professor Kodama, a member of the video production team, created a video introducing a paper on crickets. The video uses animation to clearly explain how male crickets allocate their courtship and fighting efforts. The narration is by visiting associate professor Leanne Faulks of the same institute, and there are Japanese subtitles, so please give it a listen.
