At the Institute of Freshwater Biology, we have reduced our total electricity use to 91% of the previous year's level through energy conservation efforts!

At the Institute of Freshwater Biology we are working on energy conservation. As a result of comparing the total electricity usage from April to December in 2022 and 2023, we were able to reduce our total electricity usage to 91% of the previous year. We believe that we have been able to reduce the amount of electricity used by saving on heating and lighting in the rooms and by introducing new air conditioners. The effect of this energy saving also leads to a reduction in carbon dioxide emissions.
