The first year seminar of Professor Kazuaki Takahashi from the Faculty of Environmental Tourism visits us and learns about the efforts of the Institute of Freshwater Biology and the local nature!

On Thursday, June 13, 2024, as part of the first-year seminar of Professor Kazuaki Takahashi, 16 first-year students from the Faculty of Environmental Tourism visited the Institute of Freshwater Biology to learn about the local nature and problems, the efforts of the Institute of Freshwater Biology, the fragmentation of the Chikuma River, and research on animal characteristics. In addition, they were given a tour of the facility and an explanation of the Japanese eel experimental system and several strains of wild crucian carp. The Institute of Freshwater Biology will continue to contribute to various educational activities.
