Mr. Atsushi Yamaguchi from Nagano Nihon University High School visited IFB

On May 28, 2026, Mr. Atsushi Yamaguchi from Nagano Nihon University High School visited the Institute of Freshwater Biology, accompanied by Dr. Yohei Fukata.

The visit was conducted as part of inquiry-based learning related to the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. During the visit, we introduced IFB’s research activities and facilities for studying freshwater organisms, and explained topics related to river ecosystems and the conservation of freshwater fishes.

IFB works with local schools and educational institutions to provide opportunities for students to learn about freshwater organisms and river environments.
